The Glass London Ltd is an efficient, permanent & safe means of producing very high quality decorative glass products such as shower screens, wall panelling for kitchens and bathrooms, worktops for kitchens and splasbacks.

 

The glass is spray painted to your choice of colour or screen printed with logo designs.

 

We have found that using colour coated glass this offers unique glass solutions from shopfitting, hotels, public places and your home.

 

All glass types can be coated bringing life to the area where it is used with a beautiful feeling of light and space. It gives any area a modern look.

 

A truly cost effective way to give any room an inexpensive facelift.

 

The glass can be toughened prior to colouring or simply have a safety backing applied to achieve the requirements of B.S. 6206.

Solar, Security & Privacy Film

 

Glass London Ltd can supply a variety of films for every potential application. All products listed can be cut to size.

 

Solar Control reflective films provide high solar energy and glare reduction, while improving the appearance of residential, commercial & industrial buildings. Available in a variety of colours including silver, bronze & gold. In addition to energy savings, the Reflective Solar film provides privacy & security.

 

Security Film (Bomb Film)  is the simplest way to protect against the hazards of shattered glass, designed to be applied to existing glass to upgrade the glass to meet BS6206. Available in a variety of thicknesses and provides an invisible barrier against accidental damage, terrorist explosions, preventing needles injury from the hazards of broken & flying glass.

 

Privacy Film are designed for variety of applications. Black Out films offer total privacy. Opaque White provides a frosted glass effect for privacy, while still allowing light to pass through.

UV Bonding

 

Our UV glass bonding technology allows us to bond glass to glass, and glass to metal, marble, wood - all important products for our contemporary glass furniture.

 

Using UV adhesives, the finished bond is crystal clear in appearance, with the bond being stronger than the glass itself.

 

In addition to the comprehensive range of glass furniture we have opened the door to your imagination. We offer a bespoke service where you can create your own

 UV Bonding

design or work with our designers to create furniture to your personal style.

 

If you desire enhanced clarity and ultra clean lines, specify Optiwhite glass by Pilkington. Almost colourless, this glass has a low iron content, which virtually eliminates the green hue inherent in our standard clear glass. This is especially noticeable on exposed, polished edges and thicker glass such as tabletops.

 

Bonding Our Furniture

The process of bonding using adhesive cured by ultra violet (UV) light is a relatively new process. Single component adhesives achieve their final hardness through the exposure of UV light (ray spectrum 315 – 400nm). The finished bond is crystal clear or highly transparent and depending on the type of adhesive: very hard or elastic. The special advantage of these adhesives is their easy and clean application as well as extremely short curing times and high stability. We use the finest adhesives and have developed special relationships with manufacturers to produce the ultimate joint which is stronger than glass itself. Due to the intense UV light used in adhesive curing process our staff has been highly trained, working to a very high standard of health and safety.

WARNING

    • Do not place very hot or very cold items on the glass surface(s) unless adequately thick table mats are used to prevent such items from coming into contact with the glass.
    • Do not sit or stand upon the glass surface(s).
    • Do not use the glass as a chopping surface. Do not strike the glass with hard pointed items.
    • When cleaning glass panels use a damp cloth or leather with washing up liquid or soft soap if necessary; do not use washing powders or any other substances containing abrasives since these substances scratch glass’.
    • Do not lift the glass furniture by use of the glass rods.
